Overview

Fix the fault, not the whole roofline

Most gutter problems don't need a full replacement — they need someone to actually get up there, find the fault and fix it properly. A dripping joint, a length that's pulled away from the fascia, a downpipe that backs up every time it rains hard: left alone, all of these end up as damp walls, rotten timber and a much bigger bill.

We repair uPVC, cast-iron and aluminium guttering across Colne, Nelson, Burnley and the wider Ribble Valley. We'll tell you honestly whether a repair will hold or whether the run has had its day — and if a repair is the right call, most are done there and then.

What's included

Exactly what you get on the day

  • Full inspection

We check the whole run, not just the bit that's dripping — brackets, falls, joints, unions and downpipes — so we fix the cause, not the symptom.

  • Joints resealed and refixed

Failed unions and leaking joints resealed or replaced, and sagging sections re-levelled and re-bracketed to the correct fall.

  • Downpipes cleared

Blocked downpipes, hoppers and outlets rodded and flushed so water actually gets to the drain.

  • Brackets and fixings replaced

Rusted, snapped or missing brackets swapped for the right fixings — no cable ties and no bodges.

  • Leak-tested before we leave

We run water through the repaired section to make sure it's flowing and holding before we pack up.

  • Photos of the work

Before-and-after photos of anything you can't see from the ground, so you know exactly what was done.

Common questions

Questions we get asked

Can't see what you need? Give us a ring on 07486 534895 — happy to talk it through, no obligation.

Can you repair cast-iron guttering, or does it have to be replaced?

In most cases we can repair it. Cast-iron is worth keeping where it's sound — we can replace a single cracked length, reseal joints and repaint to protect it. We'll only recommend replacement if the metal's corroded beyond a sensible fix, and we'll show you why.

How much does a gutter repair cost?

It depends on the fault and the access, but a straightforward repair — a resealed joint or a refixed bracket or two — is a modest fixed price, not a day rate. We give you a clear quote before we start, and there's no call-out charge for coming to look.

Do I need to be in while you do the work?

Not usually. As long as we can get access all the way round the property and nothing's blocking the drive or side passage, we can carry out most repairs without you taking time off. We'll send photos and let you know when it's done.

My gutter only leaks when it rains hard — is that worth fixing?

Yes. An overflow in heavy rain usually means a blockage, a joint that's dropped, or the fall running the wrong way — and a heavy Pennine downpour is exactly when your walls are most exposed. It's a small job now that saves a damp problem later.

How quickly can you come out?

For repairs we can usually be with you the same week, and sooner if it's causing damp or coming away from the building. Give us a ring and we'll fit you in.
